Adam is a taxi driver who is trying to keep his head above water in a struggling economy. After graduating six years ago with a business degree and high aspirations, a recession hits the global economy and he is forced to take a job as a taxi driver in order to pay the bills. As he finishes dropping off his final client for the day, his dispatcher offers him one last run. A cash job that ends up costing Adam more then the average fare.

Matthew Ninaber – Director, Producer
At the ripe age of five, Matt’s parents hooked up their 1980’s camcorder and connected a live feed to their television. While recording, Matt discovered that it was him on the television screen, and ever since then he’s been working on getting himself back on the TV.
If there’s one thing Matt loves more than anything, with the exception of his wife, it’s telling stories. Growing up with a camera in hand, Matt took his raw talent and began working as a freelance camera operator and editor for numerous media companies across Ontario. He also worked as the head of the video department at a media company in Milton, Ontario and consulted for other media companies, as well. After his time in Milton, Matt decided it was time to begin his own journey; thus the birth of High Rise Studio.
Now, Matt and the team at High Rise Studio have the opportunity to live that passion, to tell stories that inspire people to live lives that are bigger than themselves.
In his (minimal) free time, Matt likes to buy his wife tulips, hang out with his family and travel across the country.
Josh Snethlage – Audio Engineer watch my video
Josh hated playing musical instruments until the age of 14. It wasn’t until one of his piano compositions won three awards from the Royal Conservatory of Music, that he discovered he had a gift for composition.
Making sound effects come naturally for most boys, but something truly unique was discovered when Josh made one of his classmates puke by making a “poo” sound with his mouth. That was the beginning of his illustrious career of music making and sound effects.
Josh has been working alongside Matt for six years, creating short films, soundtracks, shooting and editing videos, live audio capture, acting and making killer scrambled eggs.
He also appreciates climbing trees, drawing and thinking things into annihilation, as well as spending time with his new wife at their family home in Cambridge, Ontario.
Alex Briere – Post Production watch my video
Ever since Alex can remember, he has always had a passion for making movies. Growing up, he spent most of his free time creating numerous homemade videos and doing whatever he could do to make people laugh.
Throughout high school, the time when people are supposed to decide their future career path, Alex was unsure as to what path he wanted to follow. Everything changed in February of 2010 when Alex crossed paths with Matthew Ninaber, who not only changed his life and career goals, but is now considered as his best friend.
Alex is excited to work alongside Matt and Josh, as they are more determined than ever to create inspiring movies. Alex loves working at High Rise Studio because it gives him the opportunity to put his creativity to work every day.
Alex is also currently enrolled at Conestoga College for TV and Film. In his spare time, he works at a local Cambridge, Ontario community center as a recreational leader for youth drop in programs, including ball hockey, dodgeball, cooking and media nights.
Jacqueline Ninaber – Communications & Production Assistant
Jacqueline is a new addition to the High Rise Studio team. One thing Jacqueline loves to do is write, and this is where she shines on the High Rise Team. Whether it’s drafting or rewording an email to a potential client, writing a blog or coming up with creative introductions to videos, Jacqueline’s finger prints are usually all over it.
Known as the “class editor” in school, everyone knows that Jacqueline has the final word before anything written is officially sent out.
Jacqueline takes care of logistics when it comes to film shoots, making sure details don't fall through the cracks, keeping productions on time and on budget. Simply put: Jacqueline is the anchor to High Rise Studio’s sail. While Jacqueline works part time with High Rise, she also works full time at TD Canada Trust, where she loves talking and connecting with customers on a daily basis. In her minimal spare time, Jacqueline enjoys making creative meals in the kitchen, knitting and travelling anywhere warm.
Tim Hutchison - Director of Photography
Back in the day of VHS and HI8 tapes, you could find Tim chasing his friends on skateboards, risking the life of his parent’s home video camera. Tim has always had a passion for visual arts, starting at an early age with drawing and painting, which progressed into photography and filmmaking.
While some people would spend their early high school years partying, Tim could be found spending his weekends jumping off roofs with his friends, complete with a camera and fake sword or gun in hand. Back in those days, Matt Ninaber would visit and critique Tim's videos, all the while speaking of strange things, such as lack of "story" and "purpose". At the time, Tim did not know what Matt was talking about, but believes that those comments were all a part of Matt's plan to get him to join the High Rise Studio team.
As a graduate from Sheridan College’s Media Arts Film program and High Rise Studio’s first intern, Tim is now a part of the fantastic High Rise Studio movement.
